Mensos Not Mensa

Being left home alone at a young age is nothing new to Laredo natives.  But if parents leave their children alone, I would prefer that they were out doing something constructive and not enjoying themselves at 8-liner joints.

How old and at what maturity level does one have to be to remain at home without someone over the age of 18 being present? Anyone???

Texas doesn't have a clear age limit in place for leaving kids alone. See link.

You have to consider maturity level and surroundings.

The story was as clear as mud. A 14 year old child, depending on the time of year born, should be between an 8th grader and a freshmen in high school. Unless otherwised challenged, how is it illegal for the 14 YOA kid to "baby sit" younger siblings? Just a question?

I don't need a concealed handgun (Ad)license because I got a drone flying over me!

That was way to many kids being left alone. A mature 14 year old can maybe watch one or two but a total of 5 including a 10 month old, hell no. Accident waiting to happen.

Did they say what gender of the 14 year-old was? Or whoever was hiding in the closet with the neighbor's 11 year old daughter?

Changing the subject slightly, these maquinta owners should open one up next to a daycare. ijs.

Someone with the resources could make a monetary killing with that idea.
