The basketball court at the Eliseo Valdez Park is getting an upgrade: a huge metal canopy. That seems to be the trend now. I've seen this kind of amenity at several parks when it used to be that the only "dome" standing was the one at the Three Points court.

Eliseo Valdez used to be the councilman for the Zacate Creek (@ Lyon and San Francisco) area back in the 90s.
He is brother to Judge Danny Valdez.
