People haven't caught on that you can make money from recyclable stuff. If they did, then we wouldn't see over-stuffed trash cans on pickup day after Christmas.

My wife and I usually go thru the drive thru at McDonald's and park outside the restaurant to enjoy our meal and watch the people come and go.
We noticed a family of 8 in the car... all ages all generations... eating their dinner about 5 car spaces away. The father, about 50ish had all of Fito Olivares' oldies going on while they ate. Juana la Cubana, El Colesterol.. MAXIMUM FITO. Anyways... the father turns the car on and all doors fly open at the same time and all kinds of trash come out unto the parking lot. Beer cans included. Recycle? Really?
Aren't you guys getting new recycling receptacles to replace the blue bags sometime next year? Sounds like a good idea. San Anto does it, Austin does it.
BUT as Anon above alluded to, its La Raza (and its apathy), not the lack of wastebaskets. Puros cochinos con sus cochinadas esos Laredenses. :P
I hate it when I pile up leaves, grass, and small branches to act as mulch at my mother's house. Then the neighbor comes in and just pours all that stuff in the trash.
And I also constantly see people throwing trash out of their car windows.

It's all Fito's fault.
What gets a whole family thinking that way?
Apathy.
