Sunny And Cool

Several things going on in this picture.  What originally caught my eye was the old metal gate open to a chain link fence.  But there's also a crumbling sidewalk with a light pole in the way of pedestrians.  And finally, stairs leading to a window.

Nonsensical creations in the public, and private world collide.

Gothic...simply gothic...divided by 5 generations. If you take the time to look at the scene from a Sociological point of view... La Familia Sagrada had the house w the cement stairs. The sons and daughters had the house w the old style gate. When tha Patriarch died... Los Wevones, whose parents gave them what they wanted nomas built a house out of pallettes and kept the steps for a place to sit and drink their virongas. Next generation...macetas...llantas carnucas y food stamps built from the foundation of the elders. Gothic

Yeah, Christmas day in Laredo was not the most festive. It was windy and dust was everywhere. It's not much but it's home.

Arabia and Laredo working together. How about Laredoans do the right thing and pay taxes and get nothing in return from politicians they keep electing to screw them over and over? Have you asked the EL Alcalde for a detailed account of what The City of Laredo got in Return from his trip tp Arabia.

I got a free trip... I got a
T-shirt and laredoans do not get a detailed report of the meetings and dealins which will benefit Laredo? How much was spent (including t-shirt) and HOW is Laredo benefiting from your Trip Mr. Mayor? Not too difficult. Just make public a report answering your constituents. "Contituents? Si ni hablan Ingles those people." Bet you wont ask... why wont you ask?

Apparently the Saudi government paid for the mayor's trip, but anybody can put in a FOIA request to get some type of information. Go to the city's website and put in a request online.
