Que Fregados has brought to our attention the marketing muscle of a favorite south side beer run, Mami Chulas. Apparently being situated on a street that gets a lot of traffic isn't enough; Mami Chulas saw it fit to produce its own video complete with theme song to bring in customers.
Bordertown Blues gives props to our fellow blogger for shedding light on this new development.
I have to hand it to the people over at Mami Chulas; they're not leaving anything to chance. They want your business and they'll work hard to get it. One unintended consequence, or so I think, is that traffic slows down along Meadow near the beer run. I pass by this place everyday and drivers going south are pretty good about controlling their speed. Of course, the girls are showing off their assets for passing cars.
On the downside, I'm not too jazzed about the music, the worn-out dance moves, the lack of choreography and the promotion of drinking while driving. But that's just me. One person posted a comment on the QF site inquiring whether the girls get cold. They've been wearing small jackets lately but showing a lot of leg.
Don't judge me!
