Save Tomorrow's Date

Laredo Watch has made its predictions for tomorrow's elections. I don't think there will be as many runoffs as he's (I'm assuming the blogger is a he) anticipating, but we'll know for sure tomorrow. Like Laredo Watch, I'll be posting early numbers as KGNS' Richard "Heatwave" Berler reports them around 7 p.m.

Oh so the ground hog rat is predicting elections now other than Laredo's weather?

The political reporting is going to be as exhilirating as the reports of high pressure systems in our area.

We'll probably see a run-off in the County Judge race, and in that race with 5 candidates.

Not too sure about 111th and County Commissioner Pct. 2. Monica might take the 111th outright, and I don't think Jose Salinas will take enough votes to force a run-off.

God help us if Notzon gets the 111th.

Why do you say that DG?

I've seen how she treats people in court. She told me she was a Republican, we've debated R v. D issues from time to time, yet in the debates, she lied & said she was a Democrat. You might not think that's a big deal, but I do. She also lied when she said that she's not being supported by the former Judge Flores, Joe Rubio, Chilo Alaniz, or anyone from the Partido Viejo, but that's a well-known secret around the courthouse. She's also put out word that she is the only candidate running who got a donation from the state Democratic Party. Wrong, since the state party doesn't endorse or send money to anyone during the primary. She got access to the voter rolls the party as a "donation" from the party, something ANY candidate on the Democratic ticket can do. Since it has to be accounted for, it shows up as a $1500 "receipt" on her campaign finance forms. So if she truly is a Democrat, why did she have to ask for something from the state party that she could have gotten from anyone, including the local party chair for free or even the Elections Office? There's nothing wrong with being a Republican or having support from certain people in the community, so why lie about it in the first place? If she's willing to lie about that, what else will she lie about & is that something you want to see in a judge?

Suddenly I regret my vote.
I think I voted for her.

A closet Republican.
Keyrose hopes for a miracle tonight.

The Rs haven't done our country much better. We're at the bottom of the heap in almost everything thanks to them driving our country into the ground since 1994.

And the problem with Laredo isn't the Democrats' fault. It's the Republicans masquerading as Democrats & the petty BS politics that goes on every day.
