The Fernando A. Salinas 5K Run was held this morning. It had runners, walkers, politicos, and of course, mascots. In striking up a conversation with several people, I forgot to capture the actual winner of this race. Thankfully, Que Fregados did just that, and I got to meet my fellow blogger as well.

____major league race comes to Laredo, but, tell the background people to "shut up" while you are making your intro, (would leno or conan have allowed that ?) computers, starting and finishing gates, stage, PA systen, but who was the guy with the big head, those tree branches almost tok his hed off . . . (and where was Dr. marcus ???)
Dr. Nelson actually walked the course. You can see him on stage when they're presenting the trophies to the kids.

Nobody stayed at the end to help pick up? Nice shot of the port-a-potty's BTW. And the mascot looks a little drunk there at the end...watchout!
I intentionally included a shot of the port-a-potties to contrast what the Guajolote 10K does. The Guajo. provides one or two, and that's it.
Oh yeah, and the Guajo. doesn't have mascots!!!
So if we pay $7.50 to the Rotary Club, we get to heckle you? :)
