(We take a break from local issues and random ridiculous facets of life for a serious topic..)Meet Emma Clark. She's bright a young girl in U.K. born with Cerebral Palsy as a result of complications with twin pregnancy. Cerebral Palsy is a term used to describe a group of chronic conditions affecting body movements and muscle coordination.
There is a now a surgery in the USA called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) not offered in the U.K. There's an opportunity to get Emma that surgery this August which could give Emma a chance at a more comfortable life.
Emma's parents have set up a Facebook site to raise awareness, raise funds and provide updates. Feel free to head over to Emma's Facebook site for more information or to make a donation.

So sad to see sick children, but so inspiring to see their strength. Hope she gets the help she needs (according to wikipedia, that procedure is only available in the US, and only at 1 hospital apparently).
Their strength is pretty amazing.
We'll keep you updated on progress.
