With remarkable progress and success on several domestic and international fronts under its belt, the Obama Administration is now turning its attention to college football and its post-season process. In a letter to Sen. Orrin Hatch, Assistant Attorney General Ronald Weich wrote that the Administration is "exploring other options that might be available to address concerns with the college football postseason". Options will include reviewing the legality of the BCS under consumer protection laws.
Given the failure of the NCAA and BCS to nurture an exciting game, gain popularity or attract fans, we should all be glad the government is finally taking notice and doing something in the best interest of the people and their tax dollars.
