Although it's very unlikely I'll not support Henry, it'll be prudent to listen to what Chavez has to say; from this message at least it seems he may have the libertarian principles that I value.
That being said, him using "in the darkness of night" is typical Fox news misleading embellishment of the facts, so yeah, he sounds like a friggin' clown (esp. since he repeated that damn phrase).
So, B+ on him appearing to be libertarian-minded, D- on whoever helped him write that nonsense.
I call him a clown because he seems to be towing the Tea(bagging) Party's line.
He mentions that people were opposed to the health care reform bill. I guess we all look at the polls that best suit our needs so I won't dare contend that.
Nevertheless, for him to say that expanding medical coverage for people is somehow going to rob us of our freedom is mind boggling.
Sarah Palin may not know about the Rio Grande Valley but we have a nice substitute in Chavez.
As he unveils his candidacy, I hope for more substance.
Which is sad because there are valid points with the problems on the plans the Democrats are pushing; the main one being health insurance for those of us who have it will rise dramatically as insurance companies will have to make up for the losses caused by not charging higher premiums for sick individuals and not denying coverage for pre-existing conditions.
Which, I don't mind paying more to get fairer coverage, but the Dems should stop lying and just admit most of us will pay more for insurance.

This puts Henry on check.
having trouble accessing the rgv site from here.
While I'll fully support Henry, I'm curious as to why you call him a clown? (since I can't read article, I know nothing about Chavez).
Ok, had to cut and paste.

Agree, his rhetoric rings hollow.

clown...ha! Triumph the Insult Dog (or whatever his name is now) would say
"ASSHOLE!"
If he is going to challenge Henry I hope he has a few cemetaries in his back pocket. Nobody can rally the corpses like good ole Henry.
